Baileys Harbor's sidewalks are home to 20 self-guided outdoor displays and over 115 historic photos, each one placed exactly where history played out. The stories come from citizen historians, private collections, community organizations, and local business owners, telling how ordinary people built this Door County community over the last century. Free to explore, any time of day, May through October. No tickets and no lines. Founded in 2015 and privately funded by community members Kristen Peil and Caleb Whitney, History Along The Way keeps growing with new displays every year.
